Installation Services
Over the years we have installed many thousands of scales – during the day, during the night, on weekdays and at weekends. We have managed small roll outs, large rollouts and everything in between.
Our deployment teams are very knowledgeable on the end to end scales operation, POS and the related cabling infrastructure requirements, meaning that we understand what is needed to ensure a successful roll out.
We have ample storage space to receive all required hardware for rollouts and provide a full service-wrap including project management, stock control and outward/inward logistics.
Verification Services
Verification is the legal process that ensures your scales are allowed to be used to weigh items for sale. Verification of scales can only be carried out by companies with both the appropriate accreditations and the scale manufacturers written approval.
Verification is often referred to as stamping as the calibration switch or cover of the scale must be sealed with a seal or sticker. The seals are “stamped” with the verification company’s approved number in order that Trading Standards can see who is responsible for the verification.

Repair Services
BDC has extensive experience in the repair of many different makes of scales. Our repair workshops, based in Finchampstead near Reading, can carry out single item or volume repairs.

When using weigh scales there are many factors to consider, such as government legislation, accurate and efficient operation, and the trading environment in which they are located.
Our Metrological and Technical consultants have over 60 years’ experience of the scales environment between them and are available to assist you with planning, with resolving legislative issues, and with all other aspects of scale usage.

P Mould Services Ltd was formed in early 2008 and started life as an IT services company. It quickly had the opportunity to acquire BDC Consultancy & Service which was a registered verifier of retail weigh scales and from late 2008 onwards started to supply scale verification services to a number of companies.
Over the years, the company has carried out verification, installation, maintenance and repair work for most of the major IT services companies who have retail customers, across the different retail tiers. In addition, it has provided services to a number of speciality retailers.
The company has grown and is capable of providing services to retailers both large (national supermarkets) and small (individual stores). The company is a private, profitable and independent. We believe in providing outstanding customer service delivery, whilst respecting and rewarding our team which in turn engenders loyalty and almost zero staff attrition.
